Fireheart totem had its ND removed in the last patch at the cost of some damage iirc.

All necro, pally, and barb summons now also have 25% innate avoid.

Tyou... Mhmmmm the only final adition maybe untargetable totems for mobs (OR 100% avoid only for totem... It's really sad have you totems powned for poison in any time...I think actually any monster with 1-2 hits kill totems...  Ahhh Marco do something for those totems...

You are using them wrong, as simple as that.
Have some summons (mainly shadows) with you and don't walk, use Bend the Shadows. Your totems can't die.

I will try it. Actually I'm playing a new totemancer... inspired for this build.....ofc, while I'm waiting for the new patch and the new druid....
edit: actually, I say that cause, totemancer, in the actual gameplay, get impossible in anyway the Quov-Tsin uber, and many others, taking in account totems get 0 resist, they're instapowned. Tal Rasha mobs, mages in general, fuck the totemancer...Elites, same thing. With all the AOE in ubers, I don't think totems can survive...

Lastly, MF bonus in bend the shadows skill, it's applied twice for summons. However, summons are not considered summons for minion life, etc... So,
1-Totems get the MF bonus
2-Totems get double mf bonus from BTS
3-reanimates from totemancer totems get the mf bonus twice times.. ?

In XVr is this still viable?

I'm looking for a safe char/build so trying necro, what I'm looking for is a build that has real safety (melee barb doesn't really feel safe to me, dies too often).

So I looked at the Summoner guides and the "Cons" were frustrating/slow kill speed - this build may have a bit of both with melee, deathlord form and also totems and a few summons.

Wouldn't it be better to get the tanky summons (Rampagors) though instead of Shadows?
