Its simple math you say? How much arrows do you think the cone of barrage could hit on a big tight group? Probably 1/4 or more of its arrows go to waste. Well... do I need to explain about wyrmshot to you now? Not only wyrmshot will hit with every single arrow, but the more monsters you have behind the line of defense, that said line will perish. Go do TA , sewers, duncraig, cows with barrage only and then with wyrmshot only, and please do tell the results. I must admit that doing duncraig with wyrmshot only will be very tricky.

I'm not very experienced with bowazon, but when i have time, i play my level 79 bowazon on tsw, and i maxed both barrage and wyrmshot to see the difference, even if barrage wont hit with all the arrows, it's still the best because it spams so much arrows, that you can easily overcome the fact that alot of them don't hit monsters. I usually use wyrmshot in tight places, where a barrage would be uneffective (I.E. I'm barrage-ing through terror, i barrage-d through hatred, but in the arcane sanct. i used wyrmshot since monsters can't hug me from all directions)
I prefer barrage over wyrmshot for his arrow-spam-of-death, and wyrmshot in tight places where barrage is (sadly) not efficent.

EDIT: And barrage is freaking op vs bosses, or when you are kissing with *insert-random-monster-name-here*

  Don't waste yours and my time with some theoretical jibber jabber. I speak from playing bowzon in 7 or 8 different ladders. If you want to prove me wrong make a video time yourself and share the result.
