[XVr] Tantrumdin
Intro
With the release of XVr and the rebalanced drop rates, I thought "Why not get with the program?" and decided that my main character this reset would be based around a crafted weapon. Thus my Tantrumdin was born.
Players who have used the oskill Tantrum before know that it is most suitable for Assassins or Barbarians, who get free easily scalable damage to combo with it. However the hipster in me decided to go for a hybrid WDM / Spell damage character that uses an underrated TU helm + equal focus on WDM and spell procs to dish out damage. We also make use of 1pt wonder spells like Mind Flay & Slayer for some uberquests or to help deal with annoying mobs.
Wanted to post this showcase, before I progress further on the character to demonstrate what an effective and fun to play starter build this is for the current ladder.

PS. As I also levelled with this build from lvl23 I know it works great from the beginning. Will probably write another in-depth guide, similar to my Amazon one, to help beginners for the new forum.

- Currently sitting at ~230 sigs eaten. Stat distribution is half in vitality and half in dexterity. When gear with better spell damage procs and/or Energy Factor becomes available (playing self-found so it does not get boring so fast) the points from dexterity will be switched in some proportion over to energy, depending on the energy & factor formula.
Skills: smax TB, Stormlord. The rest of the points allocation depends heavily on your charms,gear and offhand buff slot. Currently for me they are as follows.
SoD: 7 points, so when prebuffed with Yul staff to reach 1.1 second between blasts.
Euphoria: 17points, giving 42 pierce in all elements. The number of points depends on whether or not we are at -100all and the available MO space. The point of this skill is that MOing for pierce efficiently is impossible with this char, because we attack with ALL elements. Therefore we take advantage of the underused UH influence tree to free up MO space for defensive/misc stats.
Superbeast: 6 points, so when prebuffed with Yul staff the gain for the next level is only 2%.
VoJ: remainders. Currently I have it at 28 points (remember prebuff does not affect it). At the moment it deals 9k phys per blast every 0.2 seconds = 45k dps per target to 34 targets.
1pt in all others.

- Cheap as chips setup that I used for this video, and also for all the ubers I have completed as of now. I already spent over 30 arcane crystals rerolling the circlet and this was the best result. The jitan's will be next. On switch at the moment I have the Yul RW staff.
The bow could use some major improvements, such as arrows/knives and flat elemental damage rolls. I am also keen to test stuff like elemental on kill & frozen soul on striking in the future.

- As always all ubers were solod by this character with the gear above. I was very surprised by the strength of the build as all bosses done up to now were relatively easy. Here are some random notes:
Farming the charms that give flat elemental damage for good rolls is very important.
The gear stayed exactly the same for all but for Ureh & Vizjun. There swap the chest with a Dragonheart and run.
Quov tsin, replace gloves & boots with the "I win" honorifics with cold/fire/light res + flat dr (you can see a pic over at my zon guide). Use 1pt MF to kill him in 3-4 mins.
Brach + Astro are the only bosses that have required a respec. Gear there was honorific gaunts + greaves + plated belt, Crusade helm, Ornate crafted chest, Yul RW staff, Black dwarf amu + rare 1skill rings. Standard UHC build. With minimum effort I got my MF to 25k and that was enough to easily do those two.
Special shoutout to the Yshari Sanctum. This was the easiest clear, without any gear switching whatsoever, that I've ever done.

Wow nice mini guide bro ! Maybe u can make a javazon guide too ? Anyway I think I will try this build. What u does at the beginning with physical immunes ?

Fantastic stuff. I've been theorycrafting a bow din like yours even since i saw you post in screenshot thread. Wonderful idea to use tantrum.
Though I'm surprised you can get away with so few on striking procs. I suppose 6 tantrums per second is quite the DPS.
@MUS01, colloseum is a holy skill. Besides, tantrum strikes so frequently that with all the elemental damage from the gear he probably destroys physical immunes just fine

Yeah, I post before read the guide, XD.... After a quick read, yeah, he deals with physical inmunes using flat elemental damage from charms or gear, with the new skill for unholy (- elemental resistances)

I never tried a paladin character but this guide makes me want to try one. BTW can I use the RW with tantrum early?

@powtek yes you can. I levelled with it to begin with. You just upgrade the base short war bow whenever you can meet the requirements and when you get to 120 you make a double MO version in a sacred.
The only bad thing about levelling with tantrum is that prior to farming Meph on hatred (for TUs) your tantrums deal barely any damage, so you are just getting carried by VoJ and SoD until then which are not the fastest killers on their own. After you get the TUs however it's a breeze till the end.
