I downloaded a dc6 file viewer and a mpq editor, found the old shrine art file in mxl2012 (jbscross.dc6). how do i replace the new art? do i simply delete marco's @Shrines dc6's? doesnt seem like it would work. Thinking

place it inside the same path as it appeared in mpq. e.g, if it was in .../patch_d2.mpq/data/global/something/, then you put it in folder .../data/global/something/ and start the game with -direct param

It seems as though marcos patch has an individual dc6 file for every shrine (@abandoned, @creepy, ect.) on top of already having the jbscross dc6 file (i assume its the same one). Should i remove the individual shrine files and put the old jbscross file in there for good measure or is there more to it?

Also I don't quite follow what you mean by the -direct parameter, how to input it, or where to do it (is it like -w for windowed mode?).

Sorry I'm quite noobish to the whole mpq thing. I would love to give cookies if I knew how to do that also. Laughing
edit: Nvm figured out cookies. No baking necesary.

jbscross.dc6 and the rest of the shrine .dc6 files (@Quiet.dc6, @Fascinating.dc6, etc.) were in the same folder to begin with. (patch_d2.mpq/data/global/items)


I made a copy of jbscross.dc6 and renamed it to each shrine respectively and used them as replacements in /data/global/items, hoping that I could trick the mpq into thinking that these were the correct shrine arts, but it didn't work and simply corrupted my game when I tried looking at a shrine. I'm no comp techy, but I tried. t_t


(edit: I didn't try using the -direct parameter because I'm running D2SE and I'm not sure how to do that, but I doubt it would of worked anyways.)

@soundee: d2se has -direct turned on by default.
