Summoner idea

I don't know if anyone know this skill:
STATIC WARD:cast on a minion, emits charged bolts from the minion

Has anyone ever tried this skill?
What this skill does?Just release charged bolts?

I was wondering if we can have such a skill tree exist in sigma,which only have this kinda skills to cast on minions,i know this is not the right place to post this,but i see sigma suggestion is currently disabled,so......what do you guys think?

It is not a curse tree,you do not give your minion any extra damage or avoid or anything buff,but you are giving them more abilities such as releasing charged bolt from time to time,or even release fireball?ice bolt?could be a lot of fun,and you will be busy all the time doing skill switch.

And i do think this tree could be fun with a druid who has a whole new tree of summon animals,make the druid some kinda beast-master,can only summon one kinda animal at the time.

Thats quite an interesting idea... It might fix some of the issues that summoners have against end-game bosses.

As for the skill itself (static ward), its basically like Bane, except it releases charged bolts from that minion (its not a buff). In the end you're just being a caster since its not really a buff for your summons, its more a lightning spell that just requires a minion to target.

Btw Sigma suggestions are open again AFAIK.

so for static ward,you mean i have to cast that as a spell?so it is not a cast on minion,then in a short time this minion keep releasing charged bolts?

Yeah you have to keep casting it. Basically think of it as thunderstone, except you need to target a minion to cast it... Not that great imo unless you want to be a hybrid summoner, but then there are much better alternatives out there if you want to help dish out damage.

Just remembered, soulshatter is kind of like that, except it sacrifices a minion to deal some WDM novas around you (3/4)

Hmm i think this is a very interesting idea. Could implement different tactics to the skills, where one like static ward does nothing to the minion itself, another type more powerfull would debuff the minion, another but weaker would buff the minion and another could debuff or buff the caster or 1 of each.

I would def play summoners more. But im sure this is no easy task to do.

It would create more versatile caster/summoner builds since you would have to buff the minions and the spells.

no kidding, more skill to do and more gear to add,really a hard task

I will definetly use these kind of skills, moving to denied... because yeah.
