[Latest Update: 7/23]How to install MXL:U XVc, D2SE, D2MR on 1.13c (Video Guide!)

Hi after losing 4 hours trying to make the game with Plugy+Multires113c on LOD 1.13c it was impossible to load the game because after hitting OK on the char selection a error C0000005 show up every time.

Between this 4 hours i learned that Multires Needs the "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x64)" to run but the author never informed of this required item.

So i installed it and no more errors following this guide.

If you followed this guide and keep getting the error "ACCESS VIOLATION C0000005" just download and install this(MY Windows 7 IS x64 If your windows is x86 you only need to download the x86 version):

Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x64)

I Also Installed the x86 version:

Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)

I've followed the video tutorial, tried reinstalling the game, installed the Visual C++ (both version) and I'm still getting the c000005 error after selecting my character due to D2MR (without it everything works perfectly fine).

Any other solutions?

Have you restarted your computer after installing everything?

I have a very powerful graphic card and I have install the the Visual C++ files mentioned in this guide (restarted my pc), but my game still after I "Save and Exit" and reenter the game. What else can I do?

Spoiler:

To avoid any glitches, you must restart Diablo 2 every time you exit a game. Sorry, but that's just a downfall of using glitchy D2MultiRes :p

I play in 1280 x800 in windowed mode and there is no crash after save and exit. Give it a try and tell me if you have the same Error.
