It's Intel HD Graphic 4600. Driver is up-to-date.

I maxed out my resolution with my monitor's resolution.
Now, I have problem switching my resolution back to smaller resolution.
When I click resolution, nothing pop up for me to switch to smaller resolution.

Make sure your GPU driver is up to date.
Make sure your video cords are plugged in completely (I've had a problem with this before).

I have been trying this for 2 hours now, and I couldn't get multires to work with 2 fresh diablo installations.
After following your steps, entering the game I can see that I now have a new resolution changing option, but when I click it, the window that should appear is not.

EDIT: It works for me now after I set activeplugins to 0 and only load multires.dll

Use Warren's guide; it's updated and much easier to use than mine.

I just realised that the mxutility plugin only works for 1.13, so I tried to get the widescreen mod for no reason. Sad
But thanks for that piece of information.

For those having issues with crashing even though you have followed everything to the letter, try (re)installing directx 9.0c.

I can't choose other resolution than 640x480 and 800x600. I did everything as instructed. Please help.

Also, when I'm picking a character and starting new game (with D2MultiRes.exe, because i would like to play in 1920x1080 res) I have black screen (I hear in-game voice but I don't see anything). I have the same issue with PlugY.exe. Black screen disappears when I'm deleting D2MultiRes.dll this from dlltoload=D2MultiRes.dll and I leave only dlltoload=
