Damn, same thing happening with D2SE.

Such a bummer. What makes me even more mad is that I can get it working just fine on my laptop with what amounts to an integrated turd of a graphics processor.

Will this work with the "GLIDE3-to-OpenGL-Wrapper" ?

10) Open PlugY.ini and put "dlltoload=multires.dll" (please note that I also did this for PlugYDefault.ini which is inside the PlugY folder in the DII dir)

Step 10. in this guide is wrong (and will result in the game not working if followed to the letter). Instead of "dlltoload=multires.dll" it should be dlltoload=D2MultiRes.dll, also editing the PlugYDefault.ini is unnecessary.

this  work  for  me  very  well  and  much  easier  to  do.

This works (even with glide wrapper), however, the game crashes to unhandled exception every time you switch character (couldn't test changing difficulty), so I recommend using the OP method. Plus the maker of the video clearly doesn't know what he's doing since you don't have to put PlugY.dll in the dlltoload= field, and ActivePlugin=2 isn't even a valid value.

Well would you look at that, lol. And all this time, not a single person said a word. I guess they all figured it out on their own. Oh well, fixed! +1 cookie to you sir!

Well, everyone has its own method how to use multires+plugy....

I just install diablo 2 with its expansion - apply 1.12a - DL multires - DL plugy zip version - run PatchD2gfxDll.exe - Start the game with D2MultiRes.exe or whatever is it called....

And that is it.

Method different than yours.

And for playing ultimative I'm using version switcher since I like it more than D2SE....

But your guide is also good...

Cheers

[GENERAL]
ActivePlugin=1
DisableBattleNet=1
ActiveLogFile=0
DllToLoad=D2multires.dll
DllToLoad2=mmap.dll
ActiveCommands=1
ActiveCheckMemory=1
ActiveAllOthersFeatures=0

When i do this - the game from pluggy won't load. But when i delete that "mmap.dll" and leave it empty - it works fine. What do i miss without mmap.dll ?

Well... you'd have to of downloaded mmap for it to work Smile . Just download any maphack you'd like to use and point .ini to it's dll to load. Just make sure your maphack is inside your d2 folder and it will work flawlessly, automatically loading on boot so you don't have to alt-tab to load it up (main reason I put mmap to load there).

Bumping this so I can find it easily later.

I am curious if I can simply install PlugY and D2SE and if so does the install order matter??

order shouldn't matter I think, but I'd install PlugY first
